Can one provide a different identification number than the organisation or personal identity number when applying for domain names under .se or .nu?

The holder's organisation number or personal identity number must always be provided if available.

In some countries, personal identity numbers may not be handled in this manner, and it may not be possible to provide them in the application. In such cases, an equivalent form of identification must be provided. This could, for example, be the holder's passport number or another type of ID document identification number. However, please note that when the passport or ID document expires and is no longer valid, the holder's information needs to be updated with a new valid ID document identification or passport number.

Other unique identifying information can currently be provided for .nu domains, but please note that this does not mean that a registrar-specific unique identifier can be provided. It must be an identifier that can be linked to the holder regardless of which registrar the domain holder is registered with. This is because the identifier accompanies the transfer to a new registrar. The new registrar then does not have the ability to identify the holder based on an identifier that only the previous registrar can verify.
