On going verification checks

Updated 30 Sep, 2026

Here we provide information about ongoing and planned verification checks involving larger numbers of domains. In addition to these checks, individual domains may also be reviewed where the holder information is clearly incorrect or suspected to be incorrect. Targeted checks involving specific registrars may also be carried out in parallel with the checks listed below. Such checks are always conducted in dialogue with the registrar concerned.

The information in this article is updated on an ongoing basis.

This week (week 40), planned checks are being carried out on domains with the following holder information:

-Organisation number specified as 000000-4002
-Email address specified as nomail@iis.se
-A smaller number of domains registered using personal identity numbers belonging to deceased persons will also be handled during the week.

Checks of newly registered domain names

In addition to automated checks, newly registered domain names are manually reviewed every week. If the holder information is considered to be clearly incorrect, fictitious, or incomplete, the domain may be flagged for an extra verification check.

Examples of information that may result in an extra verification check include:

-Clearly incorrect, fictitious, or incomplete telephone numbers
-Clearly incorrect, fictitious, or incomplete names of private individuals or company contact persons
-Clearly incorrect or fictitious organisation numbers or personal identity numbers, such as random number combinations, dates of birth instead of complete personal identity numbers, or other information that does not constitute a valid identification number
-The wrong type of information entered in a field, such as an email address instead of an organisation number/personal identity number, or an organisation number instead of a company name
-Clearly incorrect or fictitious company names
-Information that is inconsistent, for example, where a limited company is entered as the company name but a personal identity number is entered in the field for the personal identity number or organisation number
